Breaking News:  New Logos for the MARS!!!

It seems to me that not only does a railroad need to have a name, but also a logo.  I had been thinking about a logo for the MARS for sometime and one day decided to visit 1st Street Graphics here in Saint Joseph to learn more about what would be involved in creating one.  Well, one thing led to the next and now the Mid-Atlantic Railway System doesn't just have one logo, it has two!  Yeah!  Thanks to Terry Supple and First Street Graphics for working with me to create an identity for the MARS!   So here they are:

My thinking is that the first logo which is a little more intricate than the second would be used on the website and perhaps on any clothing (t-shirts, caps, etc.) that might be made for family or guest visitors to the railroad.  The second logo was made with the idea that it or a variation of it, might be used on locomotives and rolling stock.  The second logo is perhaps a bit more utilitarian in design.  Until next time, happy railroading!  Bo

I've had a passion for railroads and model railroading for much of my life.  Now that I have retired I want to make the Mid Atlantic Railway System (MAR) the best it can be.  I hope you will join me as I work to make that dream a reality.
